OUR JOURNEY TO
No Naked Bikes.

A few years ago, my now-wife and I drove around the country for 6 months with road bikes on the back of our car. During 225+ hours of driving, we encountered every issue imaginable related to hauling bikes on a bike-rack.

Despite our efforts, we were unable to find any suitable means of protecting our bikes while on-rack.  So we resorted to plastic bags, duct tape, and cheap bandanas to shield our bikes from rain, salt, dust, road debris, and many other hazards.  We replaced chains, cassettes, tires, shifters; you name it, throughout the trip and ultimately needed new bikes when we returned home.

After picking up our new bikes, I committed to creating a better way to protect and conceal bikes while traveling.  After three years of design iterations, prototypes, and test drives, we’ve created a travel bike cover that protects the most vulnerable parts of a bike from functional and cosmetic damage, while being effortless to use.

Now, we're on a mission to protect your bike!

About 2 days in we needed to stop to replace chains and a tire, which caught an errant pedal and punctured it pretty badly.  I bought a bunch of garbage bags and duct tape from a nearby CVS and voilà, the first RADELN prototype was born.
